Wondering if you should have live music or a DJ at your wedding? Firstly, you will need to consider what vibe do you want to set for your wedding. Do you want a lively upbeat reception, or a chill vibe?
There are many great advantages to both.
If you are leaning towards live music, there are a few things you will need to consider. Do you want a solo artist, duo, trio or a full piece band? A solo artist is great for pre-dinner drinks and dinner, while a full piece band is sure to get your wedding guests up and dancing. Once you have narrowed down a few options, check if you can see them live to see if you vibe them. If they don’t perform live outside of weddings, read lots of reviews and try to find personal recommendations. Your venue may be able to give you a list of recommended vendors.
If you’re leaning towards a DJ, it may be harder to see them live. You will need to rely on reviews and personal recommendations.
